Companions In the Community

​

  • Provide companionship 

  • Transport individuals and accompany him/her to and from community activities such as, but not limited to the movies, shopping, beaches, amusement park, walks etc.  

  • Stabilize individuals when walking as needed by holding his/her arm or hand.  

  •  Accompany all individuals to activities provided and stay with them throughout the activities and then provide transportation back to their pick-up locations.  

  •  Maintain a written record of services provided 

  • Report any unusual incidents or changes in the client’s behavior to support coordinator 

  • All individual will be picked up and dropped off at the same location of pick up.

  • Remind the individual verbally to take his/her medications, upon request

Companions and Homemakers In the Home

​

  • Provide companionship 

  • Will assist combing hair, assisting with makeup, filing and polishing nails. (No clipping of the nails) 

  • Assist with preparation of meals, laundry, shopping and light household chores.  

  • Stabilize individual when walking as needed by his/her hand or arm. 

  • Report any unusual incidents or changes in behaviors to support coordinator 

  • Maintain a written record of services provided.

  • Remind the individual verbally to take his/her medications, upon request
